El tractament i la gesti\u00f3 dels fangs \u00e9s un dels problemes m\u00e9s importants en el camp del tractament de les aig\u00fces residuals. Aquesta situaci\u00f3 es preveu que es veur\u00e0 agreujada en el futur, per un increment del volum de fang produ\u00eft associat a l&#8217;exig\u00e8ncia de nivells m\u00e9s alts de depuraci\u00f3 i per l&#8217;augment dels nombre d&#8217;estacions depuradores en funcionament. D&#8217;altre banda, les limitacions que presenten\u00a0<span class=\"details\">les opcions tradicionals de gesti\u00f3 dels fangs, fa necessari buscar solucions innovadores i efectives per a solucionar el problema que suposa la gesti\u00f3 d&#8217;aquests fangs biol\u00f2gics.\u00a0Els fangs biol\u00f2gics s\u00f3n de naturalesa carbonosa i amb un alt contingut de mat\u00e8ria org\u00e0nica. Aquestes caracter\u00edstiques, permeten la conversi\u00f3 del fang en un s\u00f2lid adsorbent de tipus carbon\u00f3s. Aquesta conversi\u00f3 ofereix el doble benefici de reduir el volum de fang que ha de ser gestionat i alhora produir un adsorbent amb un cost inferior a la dels adsorbents convencionals (carbons actius comercials).\u00a0Fins el moment, els tractaments alta temperatura han demostrat la seva efectivitat per du a terme el proc\u00e9s de transformaci\u00f3 dels excedents de fang biol\u00f2gic en un s\u00f2lid adsorbent carbon\u00f3s (carb\u00f3 actiu). Com a alternativa a aquests processos a alta temperatura, es proposa un nou proc\u00e9s d&#8217;obtenci\u00f3 d&#8217;un s\u00f2lid adsorbent carbon\u00f3s a partir dels excedents de fangs biol\u00f2gics, mitjan\u00e7ant un tractament a baixa temperatura, combinant el tractament per microones amb l&#8217;addici\u00f3 d&#8217;un reactiu qu\u00edmic (H2SO4).\u00a0La present tesi analitza el tractament dels excedents de fangs biol\u00f2gics utilitzant un tractament mitjan\u00e7ant microones i l&#8217;addici\u00f3 d&#8217;\u00e0cid sulf\u00faric (H2SO4), al mateix temps analitza la possibilitat d&#8217;utilitzar els s\u00f2lids adsorbents obtinguts per a millorar la qualitat de les aig\u00fces residuals.\u00a0Par\u00e0metres d&#8217;operaci\u00f3 com poden ser la quantitat d&#8217;\u00e0cid sulf\u00faric addicionada al fang, el nivell de pot\u00e8ncia del forn microones i el temps de tractament, es modificaran per tal de determinar la influ\u00e8ncia que poden tenir sobre la qualitat del s\u00f2lid adsorbent. Un cop determinada la qualitat dels diferent s\u00f2lids adsorbents s&#8217;avalua la seva capacitat per a l&#8217;eliminaci\u00f3 de colorant i metalls en fase l\u00edquida.
