Es va utilitzar una planta pilot per a la recerca, operant amb baixos temps de resid\u00e8ncia i oxigen dissolt. Els resultats mostren que l&#8217;HRAS \u00e9s eficient i estable, amb una alta eliminaci\u00f3 de contaminants i una baixa demanda energ\u00e8tica. S&#8217;analitza l&#8217;oxidaci\u00f3 de mat\u00e8ria org\u00e0nica i la eliminaci\u00f3 de nitrogen i f\u00f2sfor, destacant la import\u00e0ncia de la decantaci\u00f3 i la estabilitat del proc\u00e9s. El proc\u00e9s HRAS demostra una millor eliminaci\u00f3 de diversos contaminants respecte al decantador primari, amb taxes d&#8217;eliminaci\u00f3 que estan relacionades amb les concentracions de nutrients a l&#8217;entrada. Es destaca que l&#8217;eliminaci\u00f3 de nitrogen i f\u00f2sfor mostra correlacions positives amb la demanda qu\u00edmica d&#8217;oxigen (DQO) total i la fracci\u00f3 particulada, indicant la import\u00e0ncia dels processos d&#8217;adsorci\u00f3, independentment de l&#8217;oxidaci\u00f3 de la DQO. El fet que hi hagi un super\u00e0vit d&#8217;eliminaci\u00f3 de DQO soluble suggereix un possible emmagatzematge intracel\u00b7lular o un alt contingut de nitrogen en la biomassa de l&#8217;HRAS. l&#8217;HRAS demostra un baix consum espec\u00edfic d&#8217;oxigen (SOC) per a diversos par\u00e0metres com la DQO total, soluble i la demanda bioqu\u00edmica d&#8217;oxigen en 5 dies (DBO5), indicant una elevada efici\u00e8ncia energ\u00e8tica. Aquest SOC est\u00e0 influ\u00eft tant per la concentraci\u00f3 de l&#8217;influent com per la seva biodegradabilitat. S&#8217;ha notat una alta oxidaci\u00f3 de la DQO durant per\u00edodes amb altes concentracions de DQO soluble a l&#8217;influent, suggerint que estrat\u00e8gies de control de l&#8217;oxigen basades en la concentraci\u00f3 de DQO soluble a l&#8217;influent poden ser \u00fatils per regular l&#8217;oxidaci\u00f3 de la DQO. La simulaci\u00f3 realitzada amb el software SUMO va proporcionar un bon ajust pels valors de SOC, excepte quan es tracta de valors molt baixos de DQO soluble a l&#8217;influent. En un an\u00e0lisi a llarg termini, s&#8217;indica que la millor via per a l&#8217;eliminaci\u00f3 de nitrogen en la seg\u00fcent etapa de tractament \u00e9s la pres\u00e8ncia d&#8217;un proc\u00e9s de nitrificaci\u00f3\/desnitrificaci\u00f3, complementat amb ANAMMOX a la l\u00ednia de retorn. A m\u00e9s, s&#8217;observa que l&#8217;HRAS t\u00e9 una efici\u00e8ncia energ\u00e8tica m\u00e9s alta a concentracions d&#8217;influent elevades, amb un consum d&#8217;oxigen espec\u00edfic influenciat per la concentraci\u00f3 de l&#8217;influent i la seva
