data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Les estacions depuradores d\u2019aig\u00fces residuals urbanes (EDARs) afronten una pressi\u00f3 creixent en termes regulatoris i energ\u00e8tics. Els nous l\u00edmits europeus de nitrogen, f\u00f2sfor i microcontaminants exigeixen un rendiment de depuraci\u00f3 m\u00e9s elevat, alhora que es busca reduir el consum energ\u00e8tic. Aquestes demandes posen de manifest un repte persistent: tot i d\u00e8cades de modelitzaci\u00f3, moltes eines continuen representant els reactors com si fossin tancs perfectament barrejats. A escala real, per\u00f2, els reactors presenten patrons de circulaci\u00f3 complexos, gradients d\u2019oxigen i zones amb activitat biol\u00f2gica molt diferent. Sense entendre aquestes heterogene\u00eftats internes, \u00e9s dif\u00edcil optimitzar l\u2019operaci\u00f3 o reduir el consum d\u2019aeraci\u00f3 i mescla, que continuen sent les parts m\u00e9s intensives en energia del proc\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>La tesi de Carla V\u00e1zquez aborda aquesta necessitat mitjan\u00e7ant l\u2019aplicaci\u00f3 detallada de la <strong>Din\u00e0mica de Fluids Computacional <\/strong>(en angl\u00e8s, <em>Computational Fluids Dynamics<\/em> o CFD) combinada amb els <strong>Models de Fangs Actius <\/strong>(<em>Activated Sludge Models<\/em> o ASM) a escala real, mostrant com aquesta integraci\u00f3 pot revelar el comportament hidrodin\u00e0mic i biol\u00f2gic dels reactors en funcionament. El treball se centra en un canal d\u2019oxidaci\u00f3 a escala real a l\u2019EDAR de La Almunia (Saragossa). En la construcci\u00f3 del model es va posar especial atenci\u00f3 a aconseguir un equilibri entre la precisi\u00f3 (capturant els detalls geom\u00e8trics i operatius m\u00e9s rellevants) i el cost computacional, per tal de desenvolupar una eina pr\u00e0ctica aplicable a casos reals.<\/p>\n<p>El model hidrodin\u00e0mic validat va reproduir les principals caracter\u00edstiques del flux observades in situ, com ara les velocitats m\u00e9s elevades al canal exterior i la pres\u00e8ncia de zones de recirculaci\u00f3 i de baixa velocitat. Aquest coneixement es va utilitzar per avaluar diferents configuracions dels agitadors. Els resultats van mostrar que la pot\u00e8ncia total de mescla es podia reduir aproximadament un 30% sense superar els l\u00edmits habitualment acceptats per al volum de zones de baixa velocitat, fet que indica un potencial estalvi energ\u00e8tic sense comprometre l\u2019estabilitat del proc\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>En l\u2019\u00faltima part del treball, el model biocin\u00e8tic ASM2d es va integrar dins de l\u2019entorn CFD per simular l\u2019evoluci\u00f3 de l\u2019oxigen i dels principals contaminants al llarg del reactor. El model va revelar gradients espacials que els models convencionals no capturen, incloent-hi la coexist\u00e8ncia de zones aer\u00f2bies i an\u00f2xiques durant l\u2019aeraci\u00f3. L\u2019estudi tamb\u00e9 va avaluar la representativitat de la sonda d\u2019oxigen dissolt de la planta i va trobar que la ubicaci\u00f3 actual tendeix a sobreestimar lleugerament la concentraci\u00f3 mitjana d\u2019oxigen de la zona airejada. Es van detectar punts propers amb difer\u00e8ncies de fins a 1 mg\/L, una desviaci\u00f3 significativa que pot influir en el control del proc\u00e9s i que refor\u00e7a la import\u00e0ncia d\u2019escollir adequadament la posici\u00f3 de la sonda.<\/p>\n<p>En conjunt, la tesi demostra com <strong>la modelitzaci\u00f3 integrada CFD\u2013ASM2d a escala real pot millorar la comprensi\u00f3 del proc\u00e9s de tractament d\u2019aig\u00fces residuals<\/strong>, identificar limitacions de mescla i transfer\u00e8ncia, i donar suport a decisions operatives m\u00e9s eficients energ\u00e8ticament. Aquest treball s\u2019ha dut a terme com a <strong>doctorat industrial amb ACCIONA i el grup de recerca LEQUIA (Universitat de Girona)<\/strong>, en el marc del projecte <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lequia-udg.com\/research\/hades\">HADES<\/a> (Herramienta de Apoyo a la Decisi\u00f3n para la optimizaci\u00f3n de la operaci\u00f3n de EDARs; refer\u00e8ncies CPP2021-009097, DI 068). La tesi ha estat dirigida pel <strong>Dr. Jes\u00fas Colprim<\/strong> (LEQUIA-UdG) i la <strong>Dra.
