Tot i aix\u00ed, la seva sostenibilitat econ\u00f2mica dep\u00e8n de la superaci\u00f3 de dos reptes cr\u00edtics: l\u2019embrutiment de les membranes i l\u2019elevat consum energ\u00e8tic derivat de l\u2019aeraci\u00f3 de la neteja. Aquesta tesi aborda aquestes limitacions mitjan\u00e7ant un enfocament hol\u00edstic que integra la caracteritzaci\u00f3 experimental avan\u00e7ada, el control intel\u00b7ligent i la modelitzaci\u00f3 predictiva.<\/p>\n<p>La recerca d\u2019Albert Galizia comen\u00e7a redefinint l\u2019avaluaci\u00f3 de la filtraci\u00f3 en demostrar que el flux cr\u00edtic (Jc) \u00e9s insuficient per s\u00ed sol, ja que ignora la interacci\u00f3 entre la l\u2019estructura de la membrana i la seva intensitat d\u2019aeraci\u00f3. Per a solucionar aix\u00f2, l\u2019investigador proposa l\u2019Assaig d\u2019Esglaons d\u2019Aeraci\u00f3 (AST), un nou protocol que identifica llindars espec\u00edfics d\u2019aeraci\u00f3. Aquest aven\u00e7 permet substituir estrat\u00e8gies gen\u00e8riques per dissenys optimitzats, demostrant que membranes amb fluxos cr\u00edtics similars poden requerir intensitats d\u2019aeraci\u00f3 radicalment diferents per mantenir l\u2019estabilitat.<\/p>\n<p>Fent un salt del laboratori a l\u2019escala real, es va desenvolupar i validar un sistema de control autom\u00e0tic per l\u00f2gica difusa a la planta \u201cRiu Sec\u201d de Sabadell durant vuit mesos d\u2019operaci\u00f3 continuada. Aquest controlador actua de manera dual i din\u00e0mica, regulant l\u2019aire de neteja i supervisant la producci\u00f3 de permeat en episodis d\u2019estr\u00e8s hidr\u00e0ulic. Els resultats s\u00f3n concloents: la l\u00ednia controlada va assolir una reducci\u00f3 dr\u00e0stica del rati d\u2019embrutiment (90%) i un estalvi energ\u00e8tic del 7% en el bufador de les membranes respecte a l\u2019operaci\u00f3 convencional. Aquests desenvolupaments confirmen que integrar el coneixement expert en algoritmes intel\u00b7ligents comporta una operaci\u00f3 molt m\u00e9s aut\u00f2noma i eficient.<\/p>\n<p>Finalment, la tesi completa aquest ecosistema digital amb l\u2019\u00fas de l\u2019aprenentatge autom\u00e0tic (<em>machine learning<\/em>) per predir l\u2019evoluci\u00f3 de la pressi\u00f3 transmembrana (TMP). Amb la incorporaci\u00f3 de l\u2019an\u00e0lisi d\u2019incertesa en models com el LightGBM, l\u2019eina no nom\u00e9s anticipa episodis d\u2019embrutiment, sin\u00f3 que tamb\u00e9 proporciona un suport a la decisi\u00f3 fiable per a la planificaci\u00f3 del manteniment preventiu, demostrant aix\u00ed que la precisi\u00f3 predictiva dep\u00e8n m\u00e9s de la qualitat de les dades que no pas de la complexitat del model.<\/p>\n<p>En conjunt, aquest treball de recerca demostra que el futur dels sistemes MBR rau en la converg\u00e8ncia entre el rigor experimental y la digitalitzaci\u00f3, transformant aix\u00ed les plantes de tractament en actius intel\u00b7ligents, sostenibles i resil\u00b7lients capa\u00e7os d\u2019adaptar-se positivament als reptes del cicle de l\u2019aigua.
