Tot i aix\u00f2, el seu funcionament continua condicionat pels fen\u00f2mens d\u2019embrutiment de les membranes i pel consum energ\u00e8tic associat a l\u2019aireig necessari per al control de la filtraci\u00f3. Aquesta tesi doctoral aborda aquestes limitacions mitjan\u00e7ant un enfocament integrat que combina caracteritzaci\u00f3 experimental, estrat\u00e8gies avan\u00e7ades de control i models basats en dades per optimitzar l\u2019operaci\u00f3 dels MBR a escala real. En primer lloc, s\u2019analitza la metodologia experimental utilitzada per avaluar la filtraci\u00f3. Es demostra que el flux-step test convencional no \u00e9s suficient per descriure l\u2019estabilitat operativa, ja que no considera la interacci\u00f3 entre el flux de permeat i la intensitat d\u2019aireig. Per aquest motiu, es proposa un assaig complementari d\u2019esglaons d\u2019aireig que permet quantificar la demanda espec\u00edfica d\u2019aireaci\u00f3 i identificar condicions operatives estables per al control de l\u2019embrutiment reversible. Els resultats mostren que membranes amb fluxos cr\u00edtics similars poden presentar requeriments d\u2019aireig diferents. La segona part de la tesi desenvolupa un sistema de control basat en l\u00f2gica difusa aplicat a un MBR a escala real. El sistema utilitza mesures en l\u00ednia de la pressi\u00f3 transmembrana i de l\u2019evoluci\u00f3 de l\u2019embrutiment per ajustar din\u00e0micament l\u2019aireig i, en situacions desfavorables, limitar la producci\u00f3 de permeat. La validaci\u00f3 a escala real mostra una reducci\u00f3 de l\u2019embrutiment i del consum energ\u00e8tic en comparaci\u00f3 amb l\u2019operaci\u00f3 convencional, mantenint la robustesa del proc\u00e9s. Finalment, s\u2019avalua l\u2019\u00fas de models d\u2019aprenentatge autom\u00e0tic per a la predicci\u00f3 de la pressi\u00f3 transmembrana, incorporant la quantificaci\u00f3 de la incertesa com a eina de suport al manteniment predictiu. En conjunt, aquesta tesi contribueix al desenvolupament d\u2019estrat\u00e8gies m\u00e9s eficients, robustes i intel\u00b7ligents per a l\u2019operaci\u00f3 dels biorreactors de membrana a escala
