WWTP of Gerani (Greece)

The Gerani WWTP in Chania, Greece, hosts the validation of an innovative froth flotation process based on air nanobubbles for the removal of microplastics (MPs). The study involves the use of a low-cost nanobubble generator installed at the secondary sedimentation tank to investigate its effectiveness under real operating conditions. The activities are carried out by the Technical University of Crete (TUC, Greece).
