C-NEWTRAL doctoral network holds a training workhsop on citizen engagement in Girona

From 19th to 24th January 2025, research fellows of C-NEWTRAL doctoral network attended a training workshop on citizen engagement in Girona. Held at UdG Faculty of Sciences and “El Modern audiovisual center”, the workshop included theoretical/practical sessions and field visits.

The aim of C-NEWTRAL Doctoral Network is to advance new approaches for integrated planning of climate-neutral cities through citizen engagement and city governance decision-making support. This interdisciplinary initiative will approach climate-neutral cities from multiple dimensions of Urban Nature, Urban Mobility, Built Form, Energy and Circularity. 

Funded by the European Commission under Marie Sklodoswka Curie actions, C-NEWTRAL brings together six universities (University College Dublin, University of Bologna, University of Girona, Heidelberg University, The University of Helsinki, Queen’s University Belfast). It also draws on the knowledge and resources of 21 non-academic partners in Poland, Switzerland, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Denmark, Romania, Finland, Hungary, Belgium, Spain and Italy.
