LEQUIA-UdG fellowship on the development and implementation of EDSSs for a sustainable management of the urban water cycle
We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to contribute to the development, implementation, and validation of algorithms for modelling and optimizing drinking water treatment processes, spanning the entire cycle from catchment to tap operations. This work will focus on creating innovative solutions to support sustainable and efficient management of the urban water cycle.
Key responsibilities include the design and deployment of feedback and feedforward algorithms to enhance water treatment processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in control algorithms and demonstrate proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Matlab. In addition to technical skills, candidates with knowledge of advanced drinking water characterization techniques and experience with state-of-the-art sensors for chemical and microbial risk online monitoring will be highly regarded. These skills are essential to integrate advanced monitoring data into decision support systems for improved water quality and safety management.
This position offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge research that directly contributes to addressing global challenges in urban water sustainability. We welcome applications from individuals with the required skills, a passion for innovation, and a commitment to making a tangible impact in the field.
