OMBReuse
Osmotic membrane bioreactor for water reuse
OMBReuse aims at optimizing osmotic membrane bioreactor (OMBR) to render it economically attractive while assuring a water quality satisfying drinking water standards to support water reuse scheme. OMBR will be evaluated within an experimental approach following three axis, i.e.(a) optimising process operation by testing new membranes and implementing hydraulic pressure, (b) modelling of the fate of emerging contaminants in OMBR and comparison with standard membrane bioreactor, (c) developing monitoring and control tools to optimise operation and cleaning. In parallel, an economic model will be developed as well as a decision tools that will integrate operational performance, water quality and economics to define the optimised integration of OMBR in water treatment scheme.
